School Aims

 

v     Our aims are to develop ~ 

 

v     children who strive to achieve their potential in academic attainment, creativity, physical

      activities, attitudes and personal conduct

 

v     confident, motivated children who are enthusiastic, independent, life-long learners

 

v     high levels of literacy, numeracy and ICT skills as a foundation for all future learning

 

v     children who know that their effort is valued as well as their achievements

 

v     the skills required to enable children to work cooperatively and collaboratively to achieve common goals

 

v     children with a positive self-image and the confidence to try new things without being

      afraid of failure

 

v     caring children with the ability to empathise and show sensitivity to the needs of others

 

v     children who have self-respect and who respect the views of others, including those of

      different social, religious and cultural backgrounds

 

v     children with the knowledge and skills, to make healthy life choices and to take

      responsibility for themselves and their actions

 

v     children who engage in a wide range of curricular and extra-curricular experiences

 

v     children who take pride in and responsibility for the school and its environment

 

v     children who have an understanding of sustainability and the implications of this in their
